Hi, it’s me
I’m Simi, the overly curious Nigerian American behind Untapped Well-being. Wharton grad, marketer by day, recovering perfectionist by night, and lifelong Earl Grey enthusiast.
I just moved to DC, where everyone speedwalks and every neighborhood feels like its own little world. I’m usually daydreaming about my next adventure, overfeeding friends at game nights, or dancing like no one’s watching.
At my core, I’m trying to live a little better and leave room for joy that doesn’t have to be scheduled weeks in advance. If you’re here, I’m guessing you want that too.
How it all started
I thought I was doing all the right things, until my body started pushing back. Low energy, new sensitivities, and stress that followed me long after I logged off. Nothing extreme, just enough to make everyday life feel heavier than it needed to be.
When I started talking to friends, I realized it wasn’t just me. We’d normalized being “on” all the time. Long workdays, little rest, barely enough space for friendships or our health. We were busy adulting, but none of it actually felt good.
Untapped Well-being is where I share what I’m learning as I try to do things differently. Not formulas or fixes, just what I’m reading, noticing, and figuring out along the way.
